Waspy’s Truck Stop, located on US-71 in Templeton, IA, is the place to go 24/7 for anything you want to eat or drink. We offer breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, chicken, and pizza all day long for eat-in or carry-out. You can also enjoy coffee, soft drinks, wine, beer, and other favorites along with your meal. Hungry for Breakfast?

Waspy’s serves breakfast 24/7. You can come in to sit down and enjoy your meal, or if you’re in a hurry, you can take it to go! (Carry-out orders: 712-669-9550). Waspy’s serves traditional breakfast items, including omelets, pancakes or french toast, homestyle biscuits and gravy, and a full-serving breakfast platter with eggs, hashbrowns, toast, or your choice of meat.

If you prefer something a little different, we also serve breakfast pizza and breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. You can order a refreshing juice or a bowl of fresh fruit to go along with it. Don’t forget to enjoy refills of Waspy’s $1 cup of great coffee.

Broasted Chicken to Boast About

People come for miles around to have Waspy’s special broasted chicken, served fresh from 11 am to 10 pm. It is roasted at the perfect temperature so that it has a brown outer layer and is tender and juicy on the inside.

You can choose between a 2-piece or 4-piece meal with two sides and a biscuit. We also offer 8-piece, 12-piece, and 16-piece family meals with a choice of sides at a great price. If all you need is chicken, you can buy it by the piece or in 8, 12, 16, or 24-piece value packages.

Waspy’s Grill is open 24/7 with a wide variety of your favorite burgers and hot sandwiches, including hamburgers, cheeseburgers, porkburgers, rib patties, fish sandwiches, BLTs, and grilled or breaded pork tenderloins, and chicken sandwiches. Hungry for roast beef? We offer roast beef sandwiches and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Along with your sandwich, Waspy’s offers a choice of regular fries, curly fries, sweet potato fries, potato wedges, hash browns, and mashed potatoes. We also offer a grilled chicken and chef salad and sides of cole slaw, cottage cheese, or side salad. We also offer a children’s menu for our diners 10 years and younger.
