Truck stops and cleanliness don’t normally go together, but at Waspy’s, the staff takes pride in keeping the Audubon and Templeton truck stops clean.
“We hear a lot of compliments about the cleanliness of our stores,” said Beth Handlos Wahlert, Chief Operating Officer at Waspy’s.
“When we talk about clean, we really mean it. From the bathrooms to the floors, it’s all very clean,” she said.
Customers Compliment Store Cleanliness
Waspy’s is a family-owned company with a rich Iowa heritage. The Templeton truck stop and convenience store opened in 2017, with the Audubon location opening the following year.
Each location is known for spacious and bright restrooms and tidy and neat convenience stores.
“We take pride in having very clean stores,” said Beth, “And we love when we hear compliments from our customers.”
Waspy’s Also Offers Free Showers for Truckers
For truck drivers, Waspy’s offers free showers and laundry. The showers are cleaned after every use, and Waspy’s even provides free towels.
“The free showers and laundry is a way for us to tell truck drivers, ‘Thank you for your patronage,’” said Beth.
